This product is unique and is woven by hand to order, individually for you in a workshop in Northern India, respecting ethical working conditions and sustainable production. From every polar bear rug sold, Mum's donates 5% of the price to the WWF for the protection of polar bears.

Outi Puro is an artist and designer, mother of four children, mum of MUM's from Finland. Her art projects took her to Africa in 2006. After the trip, unique works of art, Finnish design combined with ethical production, were presented at exhibitions in Finland and kindly honoured.

Since then Mum's has grown into a sustainable design company employing 40-50 men and women. All products are ethically handmade. The collection consists of wool carpets, wall hangings, pillowcases, blankets - Nordic design meets signed handmade items. Our collection is fair trade, environmentally conscious and ensures a sustainable income for artisans in South Africa, Cambodia, Bolivia and India.
