Linen is a breathable material that absorbs moisture well but dries quickly. Linen is also a robust, antibacterial, antistatic, hypoallergenic and stain-resistant natural fibre that is easy to clean. Linen is ideal for year-round use thanks to its good thermal conductivity: it cools in warm weather and warms in cool weather. Wrinkles cannot be avoided with linen, but why should they? Wrinkles are part of life: wrinkling is in the nature of linen because its fibres are strong and inflexible. The surface of linen is naturally shiny and smooth, so a few wrinkles here and there do no harm to a great linen product.
It was the year 2012 when Anna Kurkela, mother of two & fashion designer, decided to prove that you can change the world with suitable role models and your own decisions. On her journey Anna Kurkela took the artist Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä with her. This relationship led to a close friendship and produced the successful PAPU label, which gradually developed into an international brand.
